Corpus Christi Monastery is one hundred and twenty years old and is located in south Bronx, New York, with the view of New York city from the garden.
The sisters pray for the priests of the archdiocese and for the needs of the poor and for all those who have touched their lives and requested prayers.
Prayer brings forth hope for the world and renews and brings forth new life.
The Monastery is a place of peace, with trees, flowers, pathways and a cloister where the spirit finds rest and pulled into the Light of Christ.
Community life is filled with laughter, friendship and the joy of sharing.
I hope these pictures will bring you inside the cloister, coming to know the sisters, the spirit of the contemplative life which is based on knowing that through prayer, all things are possible.
